International Yoga Day celebrated at Ashok Memorial Public School Faridabad

Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as the International Yoga Day all over the world. This idea was proposed by our honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition.”
The theme of the seventh International Yoga Day was ‘ Yoga for wellness’. Yoga is an integral activity at Ashok Memorial Public School Faridabad. This year also International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students and teachers of the school. Some trained teachers demonstrated Surya Namaskar and various other asanas followed by Omkar chanting. The importance and benefits of these were explained simultaneously. This event was live on the social media platform facebook. Many parents also joined this session and appreciated the efforts of the school. Warm up exercises and Pranayam were also taken up. This could happen only due to the support and motivation of the Principal Mrs. Mamta Singh , the school chairman Mr. Vinod Sachdeva and the school manager Mrs. Geeta Sachdeva. They are of the view that regular practice of Yoga will surely help our students to achieve a better life physically, mentally and spiritually.
